Frequently asked questions
The service
What is NoggenFogger?
NoggenFogger plays your Steam account for you, 24 hours a day. It builds playtime on the games people recognize, adds free games and free weekends to your library, collects Steam's daily freebies, and sets up your profile. You don't need to do anything once it's running.
Do I need to keep my computer on?
No. Your account runs on your own server, not your PC. Your PC can be off.
Is my server shared with other customers?
No. Every customer gets their own server. Your accounts never share a server, a login or a dashboard with anyone else.
Where is the server?
For customers in the Philippines, in Manila, so your account signs in from where you live.
How do I see what it's doing?
You get your own dashboard (a private web page) that shows every account, what it's playing, the free games it claimed, and more. It also has a full help section.
Your account and safety
Do you need my Steam password?
No. You can sign in by scanning a QR code with the Steam app, the same way you'd sign in on a new PC. If you prefer to save your password, it's stored encrypted on your own server.
Can I still play on my account myself?
Yes, any time. Steam only lets an account play in one place at a time, so when you start playing, the bot steps aside and waits. When you stop, it carries on by itself. Nothing is lost.
Can this get my account banned?
Running games to build playtime isn't cheating. It doesn't touch any game, and it can't trigger VAC or any game's anti-cheat. The open-source engine it runs on has been used by a large community for over ten years. We also keep things looking normal: no trading, no buying or selling items, nothing that moves your items off the account. Like anything on Steam, no one can promise Valve will never change its rules, but this is one of the most widely used and longest-running tools of its kind.
Will my profile name or login ever be shown?
No. If your profile name looks like your login or email, it's changed to a safe gamer name, because your login should never be public.
What you get
How fast do hours build up?
Each game it plays gets about 23 to 24 hours a day. Your account can play up to 32 games at once (Steam's limit), so every one of them builds hours at the same time. For example, 1,000 hours on a game takes about six weeks.
Which games does it play?
From day one, 15 of Steam's biggest free games (Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, Rainbow Six Siege, War Thunder, Team Fortress 2, Warframe, Destiny 2, Overwatch, THE FINALS and more), plus every game you own, plus big-name free weekends and betas while they last.
Do I get free games?
Yes. Whenever Steam gives away a paid game or DLC at 100% off, your account claims it and keeps it forever. During free weekends, your account plays the game and keeps the hours.
Will my Steam level go up?
Steam levels come mostly from crafting badges with trading cards. Accounts that have spent at least $5 on Steam get card drops from the games they own. New accounts that have never spent $5 are "limited" by Steam: they still build hours, but get no card drops until $5 has been spent.
What is a "limited" account?
Steam's rule for accounts that have never spent $5. A limited account can't get trading cards, can't have a fully public profile, and can't send friend invites. Adding $5 to the Steam wallet (or buying any game) removes the limit for good.
Do I have to buy games?
No. Everything runs on free games and the games you already own. Adding funds or buying games is optional and always your decision.
Billing and support
How much does it cost?
A monthly price per server, which depends on where the server is. A server in the Philippines is $20 USD a month. Everything on this page is included, with no extra charges.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, with the Cancel button on your dashboard's Account page or by emailing admin@noggenfogger.com. Your service runs until the end of the month you've paid for. Payments aren't refunded for part of a month.
What happens to my account if I stop?
Your account keeps everything: the hours, the games it claimed, the profile. The server stops signing in to it.
How do I get help?
Email admin@noggenfogger.com. Your dashboard also has a full help section.
How are updates handled?
New versions show up in your dashboard with notes on what changed. You choose when to install them. Required updates (like security fixes) must be installed within a week, at a time you pick.
