Keep your hours private (read first)
Hide your playtime on Steam while NoggenFogger runs. Your account plays up to 32 games at once, around the clock. Steam adds all of it up and shows it on your public profile, for example "530.5 hours past 2 weeks", with 20 or more hours a day on each game. No person can play that much, and anyone who looks at your profile can see it.
The quickest way: let NoggenFogger do it
On Profile Setup, click Hide playtime next to the bot. It ticks Steam's Always keep my total playtime private for you and leaves every other privacy choice as it is. New accounts that NoggenFogger sets up get playtime hidden automatically.
Or do it yourself on Steam (2 minutes)
You do this on Steam itself, in the Steam app or on the Steam website, signed in to the account:
- Open your profile and click Edit Profile.
- Click Privacy Settings on the left.
- Under Game details, tick Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details.
That's it. Your games, badges and level still show, but your hours don't, including the "hours past 2 weeks" number.
Want more privacy?
| Setting on Steam | What people see |
|---|---|
| Always keep my total playtime private (ticked) | Your games and level, but no hours. Recommended. |
| Game details: Friends Only | Only your Steam friends see your games, hours and what you're playing. |
| Game details: Private | Nobody sees your games or hours, and you don't show as "in-game". |
| My profile: Private | Nobody but you sees your profile at all. |
Best practices while NoggenFogger runs
- Keep playtime private the whole time the service runs.
- Your friends see you "In-Game" around the clock. If that matters, set Game details to Private.
- Don't accept friend requests from people you don't know. Some only want to look at accounts.
- Want it to look more like a person? On Play Sessions, pick Random time in a window instead of 24/7 and lower the Random extra games. You'll build hours more slowly, but the pattern looks human.
- Never share your dashboard password. Anyone with it controls your accounts on the server.
- Making hours public later? "Hours past 2 weeks" only counts the last two weeks. Once the service has been off or slowed down for two weeks, that number looks normal again. Your total hours stay on the account.
