A bot says "Sign-in needed"

Steam signed the account out (for example after a password change, or after removing authorized devices on Steam). Click the card and sign in again. If the password changed, use Scan a QR code.

A bot says "in use elsewhere"

Someone is playing on that account somewhere else, often you on your own PC. Steam lets an account play in only one place at a time, so the bot waits. It carries on by itself when you stop playing. Nothing is lost.

My account is "limited"

Steam limits accounts that have never spent $5. A limited account:

Adding $5 to the Steam wallet (or buying a game) lifts the limit.

Hours aren't showing on the profile yet

Steam updates playtime on the profile with a delay, often up to an hour. Very new accounts can take longer.

A free game or free weekend didn't arrive

Steam limits how many free games an account can ask for in a short time. When it hits the limit, the bot waits about an hour and carries on. On a brand new account, give it a few hours.

The bot reconnects now and then

Each time its game lineup changes (a session starts or ends, midnight, a free weekend starts or ends), the bot reconnects for a moment. That's normal.

Play Sessions won't save ("over 32")

Steam allows 32 games at once. Always played plus the highest number of Random extra games must be 32 or less. Lower the extras, then save.

Steam Events did nothing for a bot

Check the bot's checkbox is ticked on Steam Events, and that it was online that day. Click Run now to run it straight away.

The profile didn't change

Profile Setup only sets up profiles that were never set up. Use Fill in blanks now on that bot to fill in whatever is empty.
